About Me

I am a strong believer in the benefits of human powered outdoor sports. As such I love spending my time, summer or winter, outdoors running, hiking, biking, camping, climbing, snowshoeing, canoeing, kayaking and skiing. To stay in shape I often set competitive goals which see participating in adventure races and other endurance competitions.

When I’m not outdoors I like to spend my time with friends enjoying great food and wine. As a long time ovo/lacto vegetarian I take great pleasure in cooking and experimenting in my kitchen.

My outdoor lifestyle coupled with my vegetarian diet is a testament to my support for our environment whether it’s the deep wilderness or our urban backyard. I own a car but I rarely drive in my home of downtown Toronto where I travel everywhere by bicycle.

In the absence of independent wealth I fund my lifestyle by working in the technology sector as a Solutions Architect. Twenty five years of leading edge software development combined with a highly analytical and visionary mindset has allowed me to work alongside the leaders of a diverse list of industries including municipal, provincial and international government, finance, legal, communications and media.
